After a long period of painting only hat and zvezda figures, I decided to try linear-a and I was excited. The figures are very high quality and the poses are different. I chose the tarantines to use as light cavalry for the Syracusan army or for the Pyrrhic army. Tarantas was a Greek city in southern Italy.

I agree, Linear-A make great poses, and figures in general. I also like your choice of colors. :)

... also, how can I not like hand painted shields that are well done :) and nicer horses than I could have done.

Thank you again Claus, I look forward to seeing your work. The two additional shields are xyston miniatures 15mm and they assimilated perfectly. The sun of Macedonia was a pan-Hellenic symbol. The other symbol, the dolphin, is related to the mythical founding of the city of Tarentum.

Good work. Try a technique of multiple layers or washes. On youtube you will find many tutorial videos.
Also you need better photography.

I could, but I want to paint a lot of figures, and multiple (thin I am assuming) layers as well as shading would take time. :)

When you like me buy several of the same sets, and then paint all the figures, with the hope of wargaming with them one day, each one doesn't have to be a work of art. As for photography, I am open for suggestions :)

You'll notice though that you can click on the pictures and get bigger ones. Also that might not be a mistake, since I like to focus on the unit rather than the figure.

Yes you are right. I was wrong, the pictures are good. Also the Romes early period figures are better painted than the Iberians. These figures are very beautiful and of great interest.
