I am not a great painter by any means. I don't even paint at the moment. I do however have some pictures lying around that I can share.
I always thought myself as an "army painter". Meaning I could paint quite a high number of figures, at a decent pace. It should mean an army should look ok at a distance.

Quand à ta peinture, les couleurs de bases sont là. Il te manque juste un peu d'ombrage, et d'éclaircissement.

Mais dans l'ensemble, ta peinture est propre et bien posé.

I always said that if you have enough figures standing there, lined up, then the mass effect should make shading not needed. Of course this is how I painted back when the figures came out (or thereabout). Not sure how good I am today, or fast.

You are far too harsh on yourself. I enjoy all styles of painting for the variety to effects that they bring. Your classic, clean, no-shading style is excellent. One knows exactly what the figures are and the mass effect is grand.

I have spanish origines, so i am very interested by this matter.. "Spanish" warriors were very audacious, courageous and fierce..
In ancient times as well as with the tiercos armies..
