Sometimes accuracy is overrated. Sometimes not. I recently looked at the review on PSR for a set that they said had an accuracy rating of 3. That set, the Greek Warriors from Atlantic. In my opinion it is a good set, but when reading the review, I could see how it was wrong. How for instance the hoplite using a throwing spear was definitely wrong. In case of this set I guess it is because they meant it more as a "toy" than an accurate depiction. Still they did make a Trojan set too, and I don't recall that being as bad, historically.
Anyway: My point is, that sometimes leeway is taken. In this case I guess we might be getting an interpretation of how things could have looked. I too have a doubt about the "Egyptian" headdress being used at this time. In fact I think I remember it being mentioned somewhere, though I can't recall where. I trust though, that this will be a good set.
EDIT: The Trojan Army set got an accuracy rating of N/A, because they had no evidence of how they looked, and that the Shields and Greaves on figures looked out of place with the time period. It is still a very sought after set.
